I bought the RAT 5 to replace my old Mad Catz mouse which I liked a lot but it had started having issues with the left click button i.e. it would not stop double clicking on single clicks. So I replaced it with the RAT 5. Right our of the box it did work right i.e. the pointer would jump all over the place. It was virtually useless.
